We could also do a signature/petition campaign that would focus on 'American Citizens' supporting our effort. We should aim at getting a lot of signatures. Afterall there have to be hundreds of thousands of formerly H1B holders who are citizens now; at least they would support our effort.

At the time of July Fiasco as per USCIS's own notification total more than 250000 EB based 485 were filed and more than 350000 family based 485 were filed.I am quoting this based on memory so it may be possible that this quot is not 11% accurate may have some variation at that time but it is not completely wrong.

I just received my 2 year EAD. Priority date is Nov 2002 - EB3 -India. Well I guess that says it all. If USCIS thinks that Nov 2002 will take at least another 2 years then I dunno what about the rest. I didn't wanna think about EB2 porting being so close and spend another 10k, I guess just need to stop worrying about it now. :)

why ? is that how you respond to a co-worker or manager at work, if you do not agree with them ? Repond like a grown up with rational arguments.
Setting aside moral and ethical arguments: three of your five suggestions are plain wrong, financially speaking:
taking new credit cards, buying a new car, renting an apartment. Interest rates are not locked and do you know, financial institutions can close your account and ask for the balance ? renters run credit report every time you extend your lease and can kick the renter out. These transactions may seem seamless for a person with decent credit but are extremely damaging for a person with very poor credit.
Leo2606, Being ethical is not a fancy word in business, in the long run (I am not talking about decades) your partners, customers and lenders will know about your practices and run away. Ethics and Morals are not something you take lightly especially when you are running your own business.
Take time to read some of the references listed here

It is not popular to say so but I have this doubt too.
Currently at least there is no requirement to notify and you only need to prove you still have a similar job OFFER (not necessarily working) if and when there is an RFE.
Only good thing happened to us in last decade, as far as I can remember, is AC21 and concurrent filing.
All these immigration laws are designed to keep us indebted/bonded to the employer. They might see this as a liberating provision and try to chain us back. This may or may not happen, but just my paranoid reaction,.
Hope AC21 don't go away like labor substitution has. :(
That is naive... AC21 is not an administrative decision of USCIS... It is a law... AC21 = American Competitiveness in the 21st Century act!! It was passed by congress and the only body that can revoke it is congress.
USCIS cannot revoke AC21.. only congress can. Please dont be paranoid. The most USCIS can do is refuse to change their current stance on same/similar job.

May be you might have supported previous IV campaigns. I urge you to keep supporting them instead of going anything crazy like what you are planning.

Thanks Guys, I am from India and I applied in EB2, I do not have to port since my dates are current but I still do not support this idea because I know how difficult it is for one to better his situation just because he is not having a GC. My LC was stuck in backlog centers when perm labor applications was being approved left, right and centre�

I tend to agree with both.
You need strong arguments and they need to have legal basis. Laws cannot be changed by an agency that only follows laws.
If you are eligible for EB2 and cannot file in Eb2 and your employer filed in Eb3, it is not a strong argument. Likewise you cannot change the spillover rule without strong legal justification. You need change of law.
Visa recapture is the best option.
Any big action iteam coming for VISA RECAPTURE FROM IV CORE ?
should't we start aggressive calling campaign for HR 5882 ? like one we did for sub committe hearing.. or may be big event like rally in DC ..
