POJ method can be used for all cases that are current and in the processing window...just keep on trying ur luck and I am sure you'll land a decent CSR who will be much much more useful and worth your trials and efforts.
Be persistent and you have every right to be after all you came this far.
Write to Janet Napolitano and mention that you are unfairly getting delayed and that you want to know what is holding your application and all checks and clearances done and visa number is available...

Any decent website/article/source of info will tell you that you cannot buy a house if you are planning on staying for less than 2 years.

Here is some real advice:
Letting your bank forclose on you or filing for bankruptcy is not a decision you take lightly asking people on the forum for advice. Your credit score can go down by as much as 300 points affecting you financially over the next few years which you perhaps have not really thought about. Just because you have existing loans (like credit cards) on a low rate does not mean they are 'locked'. Banks can hike the rates periodically based on your current score often to as high as 32 %. This is not pennies but can be hundreds of dollars in interest. Ever got harsh calls from collectors ? Ever got evicted from your place of residence ? Ever got denied when you try to rent ? Try living only on cash for a few weeks and see how it feels without credit. I have not gone through any of those thankfully but have seen and heard horror stories. Consult a professional or do research on your own before making a decision.

let's compile a list of famous immigrants like Albert Einstien, Henry Kissinger, Madalene Albright et al and change the face of what constitutes a legal immigrant. We need stories of doctors, scientists, engineers (the success of NASA) who were immigrants and benefited this country. Vonage was just responding to the competition.
Lingo has a world plan which included unlimited calling to 30 countries( India not included)
India calls were just 2 cents per minute. I switched to Lingo from Vonage 2 months back. Sensing this mass exodus, vonage came up with an even more aggressive plan.

How is your experience with Lingo customer service. Last year, I tried to switch to Lingo and the lady at customer service is very rude. She is so tired to answer questions and asked me to get all from website. I stopped switching to them.

Kaiser started this new rule to not hire folks on EADs as of last week.
I thought, this may be the work of various vendors who fear of losing lot of their employees jumping to the Client as Full time employees. Dont know actual reason yet.

Which organization is the cause of the namecheck delay....
FBI or USCIS?
If I am not wrong, USCIS sends the data to be checked on a weekly basis to FBI on a Electronic disk or tape. More than 90 % of the cases are returned, I assume on a disk or tape back to USCIS. So only a small fraction should be stuck in name check...
Could it be that USCIS is not updating the files in a timely manner with the namecheck information?
Also looking at data, a whole bunch of people got their namwecheck claered in a couple of months...
Any thoughts???

Free calls to India!! Awesome! Thanks for posting this here. 11 years ago, it used to cost $1.05 (using ATT) on weekdays and $.65 over weekends to call India. I was studying and my phone bills used to be more than rent! :).
I have been a Vonage customer for last 2.5 years and it works great. I use it for US, UK, Singapore calls. I use Airtel for India calls. From now on, it will be Vonage for India calls and Airtel if I need to call from my cell phone.

You better contact your congressman and senator and get it sorted out....
It is absolutely nonsense that you are approved and then not...same can be true for many of us.....attach a copy of the visa bulletin in your mail....IO can;t just say visas retrogressed they need to show the proper paperwork ...

My I140 is approved and I am a July07 filer of 485. In July08 I moved to self-employment after consulting a good lawyer. Now my previous employer withdrawn I 140 and today I got 485 denial notice. I didnot filed AC21 as lawyer told it is optional.. :mad:

To add to the list of sponsors/co-sponsors, Congress Debbie Schultz is a co-sponsor for the bill (so don't call asking for support, but you can call to appreciate their efforts).
I think it would be better to keep it brief. They don't have time, and we can't spend lot of time, or else we won't be able to call all of them. It took me 30 minutes to call all of them.
I read somewhere that Steve King is not supportive, infact he's opposed to this bill. So it would be wise not to call his office. I don't he'll change his stance 'coz he's part of numbersusa/other nut cases.
Also note the phone number of Robert Scott is wrong, it shows the phone number of Adam Schiff. I realized only after I called twice. but luckily I realised before I could go through the whole talking points.

To be specific L1B resources cannot be deployed in client premises on projects managed and controlled by client (known consulting assignments in technology world). This is just part of the violation. Second... L1B resources cannot be used for general technical skills (java/.net/oracle/production support etc) BUT can only be used for their speciality skills (while processing the L1 visa outsourcing companies shows some internal tools to prove this point). Hope this cleared your doubt, I am pretty sure that now you will be able to find a lot of violations in using L1B resources. L1B resource usage is so common that most of us who are aware of immigrations statuses even doesnt know about this .. forget others including our clients and their managers.

the first contact for the congressman's office is the relevant consulate. so it doesn't hurt. it is a simple process. your boss has to sign a confidentiality release document for you and attach a cover letter. to help your boss, identify the congressman, go to the congressman's website and find out where the forms are, write a draft cover letter etc . you can do this yourself i.e enquire as a constituent just in case you don't want to involve your boss. i think it may be better that it goes through your boss

Does that mean the embassy still haven't send my info to them (which I doubt since its been 10 weeks since my visa appointment at Delhi) or does it mean that my security check are ongoing? Should I visit Delhi consulate in person and talk to them about it?

I think having vonage is more than just about calling india and the calculated rate of a call per minute.
It gives the customer a home phone too. Remember not every household functions with only cell phones.
So for the convenience of having a home phone and being able to use that same phone for international calls too and getting just one flat rate bill for the whole thing is certainly of value to consumers.

b) Lying on the resume with "skills" that you don't have, so that you can learn the "skill" at the expense of the client
c) "Skill" in Violating B1 visa laws and sending people on B1 to do actual work to client
d) "Skill" in violating L1 law which is used to drive down the wages by 20-30%
e) "Skill" demonstrated by indian offshorers to enter into a contract with a large corporation where they will provide warm bodies in exchange for a very low billing rate. Client wouldn't have any ability to interview the incoming cosultant, which means the offshorer employee is learning at the expense of the foolish client. Then that will be touted as "savings".
f) "Skill" of fly-by-night operators to shave off 70% of the billing rate through a 6-level pyramid of contracting companies

You must be kidding me if you cannot make out the difference between an approval and an RFE. It clearly states "Your Case Status: Decision"... What more do you want?
I was wondering why the status went backwards (from CPO to Decision) and if that that is a normal process.
