Today at 2:03 PM EST I received the coveted CPO mail for my wife. I was approved on Sept 3rd and was the primary and I have not yet received the CPO as there is Biometrics issue, my wife had the same issue but the vagaries of USCIS which is worse than Indian monsoon...
I wish Caliguy, Fatjoe, Apb and many others who are at or older than my PD get their approval soon. If I can be of assistance in any way to you guys please let me know....My wife her case was separated from me and I was worried that it fell thru the cracks..but my persistence with all the channels especially congressional and POJ I guessed did it.
Not that you guys are leaving any stone unturned but just keep trying...
She was at initial review stage till Oct 2nd and not preadjudicated and separated from primary case and bingo on 5th she jumped to CPO...
You really never know...
Take care and I'll still be visiting IV and commenting and helping out..

We received the snail mail welcome notice today after receiving the email ADIT stuff last Tuesday (August 10). That makes it five business days. On the notice it says that we should receive our permanent resident card within three weeks. Anybody who actually received it within three weeks?

Man this is Federal government dude and more over part of DHS. This is not a privately owned corrupted company where they can dick around with people.
This is nothing new, things like this happen in almost all parts of the world. Remember Enron, one fine morning thousands of people found that their life savings or retirment savings got wiped out clean with nothing to fall back on. Yes, I do agree that we should have some sense of personal responsibility and that is why the middle way is to rent out the house (probably at a bit lower price than your monthly mortgage) and pay the difference from your pocket - if you have to absolutely move out from the house. But, can somebody answer my question above..........why is the same house (not even a brick changed) being appraised at around 100k lower than it was done 2 years back, by the same bank??

I had bought a house 2 years back thinking that i will sell it after couple of years and make money. I know many people might have done that. I didnt knwo that having a house will become a burden for me wrt moving to a different place in search of a job. I do see jobs in cities outside my state and was thinking of applying for those jobs. My problem is that if i sell my house, i will have to pay from my own pocket.
Having a house in this market has become a pain as it has made me immobile with respect to good job offers.
I was thinking that incase i find a job in a different state and cannot travel back home frequently and also renting is not a good option then should i leave the house to the bank for foreclosure?
Will this affect my GC process. I have no plans of buying a house in coming years.
What might be an outcome of foreclosure, keeping in mind that i am wiating for my GC process.

Lets treat good news for EB2 as good news for EB3 also.
If not today, some of us EB3 folks may want to port. So it will help more people to port and also to compensate to some extent the #s coming into EB2 pool from EB3.
Overall its a good news, and looks to be possible we see this on Murthy site also. Lets be happy.
Hoping for the best. Can't see waiting for another half a decade to get our GC.

We are in US for past 7 years in H1B. Since the priority dates are current now we are ready to file I485.
3 years back my wife's status went out of status for 7-8 months when my employer renewed the visa's they forgot to do H4 and we didn't noticed it.As soon as we found it our attorneys did the Amended H1 and got her H4 status back to current.Since then her status is current..will there be any issue because of that when we apply 1485,EAD for her.
Please let me know ...

Flower campaign, I said this one week back and did not do anything on that but was requesting others to join. I did send letters twice to 6 address and sending cards again today.
How do we organize this flower camaign or anything . Shouldnt a core member start the initiative by listing the action on the headlines.
I am sure people are waiting to see Oct bulletin. But based on information we have, please be assured nothing good can be seen, unless a miracle. Wait for the next bulletin may not be as pleasant in case you are looking for a job (No I am not). Lets all shoot emails to CORE IV now, to request them to start a campaign. I think from our end that shoudl be the 1st step. Unless they get the group together, we will be headless chicken as someone said, writing in doifferent threads,

Also, forget IV or CORE IV for this campaign, I dont think they will want to support this effort. And also, I request those sending the mails to not name immigration voice. I believe IV has made it clear that they will not support us (other than tolerating us with our posts here), so we should not use IV's name (without their approval) in our letter campaign either.

The previous poll for EB3 showed over 500 responses, so if we can get most of them to write letters, it will be a good start. However, threads here seem to go off track because we end up deflecting blames and irrelevant criticisms.

Yes agree. The point is that for an example in September 2008 if you used AC21 then on that date you and your employer claimed that your skills are matching for "particular EB3 job classification" . Now if you go interfiling to USCIS in March 2009 then USCIS doubt as logically employer ca not establish the "natural skill progression" within 6 months.
One more thing - RFEs. Although people used AC21 in 2007 or start of 2008, just recently USCIS sent RFEs to many. All of them have just finished replying those RFEs in which hthey claimed that they are still working on a "same job" matching EB3 skill. My employer sent that RFE response in May 2009. So my clock starts again from May 2009. In December 2009 it is almost impossible for my employer to show that " I am fit for advanced skills". So this is the glitch that lot many lawyers are strongly hesitant to proceed on interfiling.
But I have already taken the promoton on Jan 2009 (raise and change in job requirements since I filed perm) and moved to the new eb2 position...I dd that after a year and half from eb3 485..... the job is same/similar but requirements and skills have changed
